This interesting and multi-faceted subject takes the learner through the development of building process using modules as a medium.

These modules are carefully structured to offer a step by step guide of basic constructing methods, that takes the learner from the origin and composition of materials, right through to the application methods that are essential to constructing sound building practices so desperately needed.

Each module offer information on the various aspects of the building processes, using appropriate tools (all available as teaching aids), to educate the learners of their functions as well as empowering them with the skill to use the tools.

Assessment: Each learner is individually assessed using various assessment methods as required by department of education to assess competency levels.

Practical work: The learner is also practically trained means of projects, to build in a workshop environment using tools.

This process in itself has so many facets like; the  ability to interpret basic plans, setting out using the drawings, completing a project with all the building components in place, to caring for tools and equipment and working in a safety friendly environment.

Interpreting Basic Drawings. The use of drawing instruments is also taught here at Baysville to equip the learner with a basic understanding how to draw a simple plan.  The school provides all instruments as this alleviates the financial burden on parents.

Safety: The Safety of each learner is essential here at Baysville and is extensively covered in all technical subjects offered here. Working in a workshop can be challenging to the un-initiated and we proud ourselves here of a very low incident record of injuries in the workshop.
