Teaching objectives and goals for 2016

To make students aware of employment opportunities that will arise from training given within this workshop i.e. qualified hairdresser (very expensive and not available in East London), operator within a hair salon, salon manager or receptionist, qualified beauty therapist, assistant within beauty salon, qualified nail technician, sales rep for companies selling the products used by these salons

To teach students the importance of hard work and dedication within the workplace, and respect for those in authority

To teach students the practical aspect of hairdressing and beauty, which will enable them to become “employable”

To teach student the theoretical aspect of hairdressing and beauty, on a basic need to know level to that they have a basic understanding of the industry, however not going into too much scientific detail as some students cannot understand and lose interest

Maintain a calm and safe atmosphere within the classroom, where they feel comfortable which in turn will give confidence
-
Hold open days for the public to be models for the students as this gives them a huge sense of accomplishment
