Goal

To provide learners with the necessary, practical and theoretical knowledge to pursue a career in an educare centrum.

The workshop is sub-divided into three categories, namely Educare, Entrepreneurs and Culinary Skills.

EDUCARE

Educare is divided into baby-care and child care. Learners are taught how to deal with, manage and work within these centrums. In gr. 10, the girls go to schools every other week to practically apply the skills they’ve been taught.

Different activities, creative arts and the like will also be done in class.

ENTREPRENEURS

The goal of this division is to equip learners to open and run their own educare centrum, to make and sell their own products and so doing, earn a living.

CULINARY SKILLS:

Learners are taught to prepare meals to use in an educare system as well as product they will be able to sell as a source of income later.

Work opportunities for students in Educare include:

1. Day-care centrums.

2. Individual care givers.

3. Assistant for grade R and Grade 0.
